Program Enrichments

Program Enrichments

In addition to our robust curriculum, students will also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of program enrichments throughout the school year including STEAM, Music and Movement, and Chapel.  In conjunction with our Music and Movement program, students ages 2 and up participate in an annual Christmas program as well as an end of year program.  Students will also have the opportunity to engage with their community through visits from community helpers and giving back through service projects.  Families are also invited to participate in fun seasonal activities such as classroom parties, family nights, open house, Fall Pajama Parade, Breakfast with Santa, Kindergarten graduation, and much more!

Music & Movement

All students will have music each day they attend CRCDS.  Our music program supports each student’s social, emotional, and cognitive learning through song, dance, rhythm, rhyme, movement, and fun!  Our music and movement program helps to develop both sides of the brain and is designed to engage students in the learning process and promote creative expression.

Playground Time

Playground time is offered every day for all students on our private, covered playgrounds in good weather or in our indoor recess room during inclement weather.  Students will have the opportunity to zoom around our recently added trike-track, shoot some hoops on our basketball court, slide down our play structure, play at our sand or water tables, and even tend to our garden.

Spiritual Development

Spiritual Development is emphasized in all aspects of our program so that children can build a faith foundation that will carry them through their years to come and instill in them their identity as a loved and cherished Child of God! Our preschoolers worship in chapel each week, experience daily classroom prayer, learn weekly Bible verses and listen to favorite Bible stories.

STEAM introduces Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM). Our STEAM program helps to build confidence and self esteem in our students while developing a lifelong love of learning. Students will develop their critical thinking skills, nurture their creativity, and engage all of their five senses while they observe, explore, and learn!  In addition to activities that tie directly into their classroom learning, students will also participate in First Lego League which will help students apply their STEAM skills in an exciting way through LEGO creations and challenges while building habits of learning, confidence, and teamwork skills along the way!
