Kelly Warner

Hello!  My name is Kelly Warner.  I’m not a native Texan, so saying y’all doesn’t come naturally, but I’m working on it!  I was born and raised in Dearborn Michigan,  which is also where I met my husband, Dave. In the past 10 years we’ve lived in 5 states and I’m happy to announce that Texas will be called home for the foreseeable future! Dave and I have two beautiful children, Mitchell (14) and Piper (11).  I was fortunate to have been a  stay at home mom for most of their lives, but recently I’ve felt called to love and teach littles again and I believe that God opened this door for me at CRCDS.  There is something amazing about watching the world through a toddler’s eyes and I’m grateful for this opportunity! I studied psychology and sociology at HFCC in Dearborn, Michigan and have been actively involved,  at several churches, in the Awana program and childcare in Sunday School. I’m excited to be a part of the CRCDS family!

Favorite scriptures: Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”  Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengthenth me.”

Hobbies and interests: Softball , although I haven’t been on a team for awhile. I’m hoping to play again one day.  I also love playing board/card games and crafting.

Favorite movie:  Steel Magnolias and Beaches is a close second.

Favorite children’s book:  MOO, BAA, LA LA LA! My son could recite the whole book when he was 2 yrs old and it brings back such precious memories.

Dream vacation:  Hawaii and Ireland are both on my bucket list.
